Semi husked coconut sizes and packing

The normal sizes for exportation of semi husked coconut in Vietnam are:

Small size : 500 – 700g per semi husked coconut or about 17 kg per bag of 25 semi husked coconuts.

Medium size : 700 – 1000g per semi husked coconut or about 21 kg per bag of 25 semi husked coconuts.

Big size :1000g++ per semi husked coconut or about 25-30 kg per bag of 25 semi husked coconuts.

As per costumers’ requirements and sizes, semi husked coconuts can be packed 20/25/30 pieces per bag.

How to husk and pack semi husked coconut ?

After harvesting ang collecting dry old coconuts at packing house, they will be husked manually by workers, coconut by coconut. Dry semi husked coconuts can be ready for weighting and packing into bags, but wet semi husked coconuts must be dried in the sunlight at least 1 day before packing.

Loading semi husked coconut

Semi husked coconuts are often packed in meshing bag for good ventilation during transit time.

Normal weights of a bag of 25 semi husked coconuts are 17 kg to 30kg.

For short transit time, not more than 2 weeks, semi husked coconuts can be loaded in dry containers.

If it takes longer time for transportation, it is better to go with refrigerated containers. Temperature of containers of semi husked coconuts should be about +10 to +14 degree celcious.
